Meet Our Founder, Steven Fretwell

For Steven, building a business was never just about construction, it was about building people, trust, and community.

After years of working for other contractors, Steven launched his own business with a desire to grow as a person, a leader, and a neighbor. Resolute Painting & Roofing is a company built on the belief that every project is about more than a roof or a coat of paint, it’s about taking care of the person behind it.

Steven leads with a servant’s heart, often right alongside his crews, making sure every customer feels heard, respected, and supported. His focus is simple: to give people peace of mind through quality work and honest communication.

Guided by the values of honor, integrity, and honesty, Steven holds himself and his team to a high standard. He believes in doing what’s right, even when it costs more time or money, whether that means using products he can truly stand behind or going the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied.

As a proud Colorado native, Steven finds balance and inspiration outdoors, dirt biking, fishing, and exploring the mountains with his family. His vision for the future is clear: to build a business that allows him and his family to stay rooted in their community, serving others and helping their neighbors thrive.

Meet our Office Manager, Crissy Fretwell

Crissy is the heart behind the operations at Resolute Painting & Roofing. As the office manager, she manages the many moving parts that keep the business running, from scheduling and bookkeeping to permits, insurance, and vendor coordination. Her organization and problem-solving skills ensure that every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Driven by a genuine desire to serve others, Crissy finds joy in identifying ways the team can better support their customers, crews, and community partners. She brings dependability, detail, and compassion to everything she does, these are qualities that make her both a trusted leader and a joy to work with.

Crissy’s servant heart extends beyond the business. She’s deeply involved in her church and passionate about helping underprivileged children through foster care and outreach. Resolute gives her the flexibility to continue pursuing that calling while still being hands-on in the business.

When she’s not coordinating projects or crunching numbers, Crissy loves spending time with her family outdoors, camping, relaxing at the lake, or enjoying a good book in the Colorado sunshine.
